Passengers
No special knowledge, physical attributes, nor special equipment is needed on a balloon ride. Ballooning is an unforgettable experience for young and old. Our modern, carefully serviced hot air balloons can carry 4 to 8 passengers. 4 people are the minimum requirement for balloon travel, however, if necessary we will make sure the group is sufficiently numbered. Therefore, even if you are alone or a couple, you may sign up for a flight.
Flight duration
Besides the trip in a basket, ballooning is an experience. The communal set-up and folding of the balloon is fun and provides unforgettable impressions. The whole “event”, depending on the type of balloon trip you choose, lasts from 4-8 hours (count a whole day for the Säntis and Alps trips), whereby approximately 2-4 hours are airborne. After landing and a small surprise, we will transfer you back to the starting point by minibus.
Seasons
It is only possible to fly a balloon in stable meteorological conditions. Spring, fall and winter are the best seasons for ballooning. In the summer it is generally too hot during the day for flying, therefore, lift-off is either very early in the morning or in the evening. During the cooler months it is possible to also balloon during the day. Since the balloon flies with the wind, it is windless inside the basket and so, even in winter, not cold. The burners also generate warmth downwards into the basket.
